Who Am I
I come from the “Land Down Under”
It’s full of things that make me wonder.
I’m crazy and loud
and love to help others feel proud.
Teaching has been my passion ever since I was little,
and red is my favourite flavour skittle.
Horses, the outdoors, friends and laughter
are just a few things I love to seek after.
“Life is what you make it” is my motto
my least favourite dish is mushroom risotto.
I’m the middle one of three
and my latest accomplishment is my teaching degree.
Purple is my favourite colour
and my baby sisters name is Carla.
Jack Johnson is my favourite male music artist,
when packing for a holiday I like to make a list.
My favourite season of the year is summer
and one day would love to go in a stretch hummer.
Italy, Singapore, Thailand, and Bali are a few places I’ve been
but Camp Augusta has yet to be seen!!
So take a guess, I wonder who I can be…..
Nicole is my name (also known as Nic) and I’m making my way to Camp Augusta for my very first summer!!!

Hi all!!! As you would have all guessed by now (hopefully), my name is Nicole and this is my first summer at Camp Augusta; I’m so excited I can’t wait to get started! Just to give you a little bit more information on who Nicole is.
Born and raised in Sydney Australia, I’m 22 years of age and come from an Italian background. I have, ever since I started school, wanted to be a teacher. My dream finally became a reality in December 2010 when I graduated from The University of Notre Dame Australia, as a primary school teacher :-)

Other than my teaching passion, my second greatest love of all is horse riding and teaching others how to ride is even more fun! I have been riding since the age of six and owned my own horse since the age of 14. I have owned my current horse Banjo for the past 10 years and I’m sure at camp you’ll hear a story or two about him and a photo to accompany that. So what am I doing at Camp Augusta I hear you ask? I’ll be working with the horses as the Assistant Equestrian Director, teaching all who come to camp a thing or two about horses, making riding fun in ways that you’ve never imagined (I can’t spill my surprises here, you’ll have to come and see). You may also see me in the evening performances, singing, jumping around with everyone else, climbing, hiking, dancing or swinging from a tree, covered in oatmeal, creating something and any other activity that is happening at camp. Whilst growing up and still to this day the country has been a second home for me. I absolutely love the outdoors, it is one of those places that you go to and forget about everything else and let your imagination run free!!

From the Who Am I game, I said I like to make a list of things to pack when I’m travelling around. So I have decided to share with you a few essentials that are on my packing list for camp.
Nicole’s List of what to pack for Camp Augusta:
-Smiles/Laughter. BEWARE: CAN BE EXTREMELY CONTAGEOUS.
-Old clothes for when I either get covered in oatmeal, thrown in the lake, hung upside down from a tree or get all the glorious mess smeared on me that the horses bring :-)
-Energy. This will be needed for the jumping, singing, climbing, craft making, hiking, horse riding, building and all the fabulous activities that Augusta will bring.
-Imagination. Camp Augusta is one of those places that you can really let it be free.
-Dancing shoes. To break out in moves when you achieve those little things or just for the sake of busting out a move or two.
-Enthusiasm. To give everything and anything a go, even if it means stepping out of your comfort zone for a bit.
-The most important thing of all. YOURSELVES. I look forward to all the ADVENTURES and MEMORIES we will share at Camp Augusta this summer.
SEE YOU ALL SOON!!
